Ava Gandhi

Ava joined the CRC team as the Environmental Education and Outreach Assistant in April 2024. Before joining CRC, she worked at the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium in Sandy Hook, NJ for several summers as a Communications Intern, Outreach Intern, and as a Field Instructor. As a Field Instructor, she shared environmental education programming with students K-12 that furthered their understanding of ecosystems, estuarine creatures, and the importance of environmental stewardship. She has seen first-hand how impactful environmental education can be, especially when you get to be outside and in the water! 

Ava graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of Rhode Island and is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Marine Policy and Management with a concentration in Marine Resource Sustainability at the University of New Haven. While she still calls New Jersey home, Connecticut has been a fabulous substitute between trying the famous New Haven pizza and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Connecticut River and the Long Island Sound.
