Time & Location

About the event
Join photographic artist and CRC staffer, Alix Kaplan, for a reception in the Community Room of the Greenfield Public Library on Wednesday, April 2, 5-7pm. Mingling, light refreshments, and a conversation with the artist. Additional CRC staff will also be on hand to discuss our work.
The photographs in the exhibition were shot within the Connecticut River watershed. Some feature important program work conducted by CRC, such as a dam removal and a sea lamprey rescue; others reflect Alix's spirited interest in the natural world.
Alix Kaplan grew up as an only child and learned early on that the environment offers companionship to all those who need it. They hold a degree in Environmental Studies from Tufts University and a handful of awards from film festivals for their work in animation. Alix now resides in Greenfield, MA working for a local conservation organization, Connecticut River Conservancy. Their photographs are the culmination of artistic curiosity and environmental stewardship.
