Kate Buckman, NH River Steward for the Connecticut River Conservancy, will be joining as the featured guest speaker. Kate brings a wealth of experience, having joined CRC in September 2022 after over a decade at Dartmouth in the Toxic Metals Superfund Research Program. With 25 years of marine and freshwater research under her belt, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Smith College and a PhD from the MIT/WHOI Joint Program in Oceanography, where she focused on fish ecology at hydrothermal vent systems.

As a native of New Hampshire, Kate has deep connections to the region, living near the brook trout streams she cherishes. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from her expertise and insights on river conservation.
