About the event
Celebrate a tree-mendous milestone with us! Join the Connecticut River Conservancy in planting our 100,000th tree in the Connecticut River watershed.
CRC began planting native trees and shrubs as part of our restoration program in 2012. This very special Silver Maple tree will be planted on the site of the 2024 Blake Higgins dam removal project in Bellows Falls, Vermont. CRC staff will share some of our tree-planting history and how buffer plantings support the broader goals of clean water, healthy habitats, and resilient communities throughout the watershed. We'll plant the tree together, share upcoming opportunities to get involved, and address any questions.
Following this event, please join us at the Wild & Scenic Film Festival!Â

Our Events calendar is continually being updated with new opportunities to learn and connect. See what else is happening throughout the watershed (both virtually and in -person!
