About the event

Join us for the Connecticut River Conservancy's Annual Meeting and River Cruise!

Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 10:00am-3:00pm at Goodwin University, 1 Riverside Drive, East Hartford, CT 06188.

We'll share a day filled with fun, food, and beautiful views aboard the R.V. Goodwin Navigator! Get ready to mingle with fellow river enthusiasts, hear from some fantastic speakers, and enjoy a relaxing cruise along the river.

Activities include:

  • Mimosas & Buffet Brunch

  • Optional Boat cruise (choose morning or afternoon cruise)

  • Guest Speaker: Leila Phillip, author of Beaverland

  • Annual Meeting with special awards presentation

  • And more!

Leila Philip will present on the topic of Hidden Hydrology: How Rivers, Beavers, and Wetlands form Watersheds, followed by a book-signing. Additional details are available at the RSVP link below.

The boat cruise will be approximately 60 minutes aboard the R.V. Goodwin Navigator with Captain Bill Keyt. It will head north to the Bulkeley Bridge before turning around to make a loop through Wethersfield Cove. Along this route, we will pass an eagle's nest, the mouth of the Park River, the former trash-to-energy plant, and numerous views of the Hartford downtown skyline. Historic Wethersfield Cove is very scenic; after exiting the cove, we will likely take a short run further south to an active osprey nest, which is easily viewable on an old dock, before returning to Goodwin. It should be a pleasant cruise with various points of interest and great scenery along the river and its banks!

Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to connect with river enthusiasts in a scenic setting. See you there!
