Boating Guide cover

The Connecticut River: A Photographic Journey through the Heart of New England
Al Braden’s new collection of gorgeous full-color photographs guides the reader the full length of our 410-mile river, from a pond on the Canadian border clear to Long Island Sound.  Braden donned waders to capture intimate glimpses of water’s many textures and took to the air to bring back breath-taking views of the landscape we inhabit below.  Photographed digitally, lovingly printed and published. Afterward by Chelsea Gwyther, CRWC Executive Director.  Hard cover, 136 full-color photographs, 149 pages, 10¼ x 10¼ inches. More details.

Price: $35.00 + tax (CT, MA, VT only)

Two Coots cover

Two Coots in a Canoe: An Unusual Story of Friendship
Dave Morine’s source-to-sea paddle down the Connecticut River began as a light-hearted adventure with old friend Ramsay Peard. Rather than camp out along the way, the pair decided to “rely on the kindness of strangers.” That approach took the paddlers deep into many communities and river-lovers’ lives as well as the full range of what the Connecticut offers, from scenic oxbows to less appealing urban waterfronts. But it wasn’t until after the trip that Dave learned what his uncommunicative friend had been planning all along. Hard cover, 303 pages, 5.5 x 7.3 inches. More details.
